Send Taste Of Home your best birthday cake recipe and you could win $2,500!

Silver Dollar City is celebrating its 50th birthday in 2010! To commemorate the occasion, Taste Of Home is searching for the best birthday cake you can make. 

Here's your chance to join in the festivities and create Silver Dollar City's birthday cake, which will be featured throughout the park all year.

Here's what we're looking for:

• Sheet cakes, layer cakes and tortes. Include your recipes for fillings and frostings too.

• Tube cakes, like angel food, sponge or chiffon, and bundt cakes, including those with a tunnel of cream or filling inside.

• Pound cakes, upside-down cakes and cake rolls. 

• Cakes made from scratch or dressed-up mixes.

Please note: Cupcakes, cheesecakes and coffee cakes are not eligible for this contest.

Prizes

• Grand Prize: $2,500 plus 6 season passes to Silver Dollar City for 2010 and a 3-night VIP trip to Branson, MO, and Silver Dollar City during the birthday celebration April 30 – May 1, 2010

• 1st Runner-up: $500 plus 4 season passes to Silver Dollar City for 2010

• 2nd Runner-up: $250 plus 2 season passes to Silver Dollar City for 2010
