Indian Point Road Improvements
Road Improvements are complete! The recent project, designed to improve traffic flow accessing Silver Dollar City, Indian Point Peninsula and the Crow's Nest resort area, will be a noticeable improvement to guests.
According to Bill DeAtley, project manager for Silver Dollar City, the $5 million Tax Incremental Finance project was finished on time, and on budget. Improvements included widening the top of Indian Point Road from MO 76 to the Silver Dollar City park entrance, and constructing a new road separating Silver Dollar City traffic from vehicles traveling to Indian Point and Crow's Nest area resorts and lake access points.
Entrance onto Indian Point Road now includes 2 lanes routing guests to Silver Dollar City's entrance. Additionally, Crow's Nest Road was realigned to connect with Indian Point Road south of the Silver Dollar City parking lots. Improvements also allow for 2 lanes of traffic leaving Silver Dollar City and the Village of Indian Point.
DeAtley states that Silver Dollar City crews are currently working to improve signage and complete parking lots, which will result in approximately 1,500 additional parking spaces, before the theme park opens for the season in March.
THANK YOU!
Silver Dollar City wishes to extend a sincere Thank You to our neighbor, Deer Run Motel,
for their role in helping to make these improvements possible.
