In addition to the traditional oak pieces for which Heartland Home Furnishings is famous, we also offer the Craftsman Collection! Warm, rich finishes, pure shapes, strong lines and classic ornamentation are the basis for this exciting collection.
2010 marks Silver Dollar City's 50th anniversary, and to celebrate the occasion craftsmen are producing a newly designed, limited edition, knotty alder wood side table with mortise and tenon joints, inlaid with a special 50th commemorative coin!
The Story of Heartland Home Furnishings
One day a man from the east came through town with a dream and a little money. He was in search for men who could take rough lumber and turn them into works of art. His dream was to build a furniture mill that created the finest oak furniture in America. He would start the factory, then move back east to arrange the transportation. It didn't take long for him to find the men to do it. Soon the operation was successful, and their fine furniture was being transported all over the United States. Silver Dollar City became famous for their handcrafted furnishings.
Local businesses and homeowners also desired their furniture, so one entrepreneurial businesswoman wrote to the factory owner with her ideas. She wanted to build a "home" to showcase the furniture and then hire sales people to sell to Silver Dollar City citizens and visitors. "Heartland Home Furnishings" was born. Today they are still making and selling incredible handcrafted works of art.
