Miss Annie Hatfield arrived among the first settlers at Silver Dollar City. She was noted for her fine cooking. Especially her barbecued beef and pork and all the fixings. What she was not noted for was her ability to shoot. Annie's aim was legendary. She could not hit the broad side of a barn. Pa gave her his trusty old shot gun loaded with buckshot, as that was the only way she could hit anything. His idea must have worked, because folks come from miles around for her BBQ specialties.  Now you understand why all the townsfolk call her Buckshot Annie.
