Q: What is Silver Dollar City?
A: Silver Dollar City, located in Branson, Missouri, combines the wholesome family fun of a major theme park with the timeless appeal of crafts and a dedication to preserving 1880s Ozarks culture. Over 100 craftsmen are on park demonstrating glass blowing, basket weaving, blacksmithing, pottery, candy making, candle making, and many other disciplines. Packed with over 20 rides and attractions, 60 unique shops and restaurants, and 40 dazzling shows a day, Silver Dollar City truly appeals to all ages. It also hosts six major festivals per year and was named one of the Top Theme Parks in The World by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions. 

Q: Are strollers, wheelchairs, lockers, and electric carts available?

A: Strollers, wheelchairs, lockers, and electric convenience vehicles (ECV's) are available to rent on a first-come basis for a nominal fee. There are a LIMITED number of reservations available for wheelchairs and ECV's. To make your reservation, call 800-225-0222 and ask for the "Stroller Booth".

The guest using the ECV must be able to operate the ECV independently. Guests must be at least 16 years old to operate an ECV and guests 16 to 18 years old must hold a valid Driver's License. All guests must follow park rules, the manufacturer's guidelines and instructions given to the guest during the rental transaction. Only one guest per ECV or wheelchair is permitted. Strollers are provided on a first-come-first-served basis.

Q: I would like to know more about the historical aspects of Silver Dollar City and how it relates to Marvel Cave. What do you suggest?

Q: How large is Silver Dollar City?
A: Right now the park is over 61 acres.


Q: How long should I plan to stay at Silver Dollar City?
A: It depends - there is so much entertainment to experience. We recommend at least one entire day. Two days during our festivals.


Q: Do you serve alcoholic beverages?

A: We do not serve alcohol and do not allow it on our premises.

Q: What about smoking?
A: Smoking is allowed only in designated smoking areas. For the convenience of smokers and non-smokers alike, 14 designated smoking areas are located as indicated on the park map. 

Q: Do you have a dress code?
A: Silver Dollar City is a family-friendly environment and requires appropriate dress. Although some of our rides and attractions may get you wet, we request that swimsuits be limited to children 8 and under only. While on rides, children 8 and under will be asked to wear shorts over swimwear; all others wearing swimsuits will be required to wear an appropriate coverup at all times. Guests wearing clothing that may be offensive or inappropriate (including profanity or suggestive material) will be asked to change. Shirts & shoes must be worn at all times. The use of shoes with built-in skates or wheels is prohibited. We reserve the right to refuse admission to anyone not properly attired, and appreciate your help in keeping our City a great place for families to visit.

Q: Are cameras and video cameras permitted on park and at the shows?
A: Yes, in all areas of the park.

Q: My spouse and I have difficulty with walking for long periods of time. Will we enjoy the park?
A: The park terrain does have some hills. Many activities are at the bottom of the park so you may want to rent an electric cart.  However, we do provide numerous benches and shaded areas throughout the park.

Q: Do you have plenty of parking available?
A: There are plenty of free parking spaces available at Silver Dollar City.  At most parking locations, a tram or bus will pick you up and take you to the admission gate.  Handicapped parking is available for those with a permanent or temporary disabled tag, located close to the main admission gates.  Preferred parking is also located close to the main gates of the park, and is available for a small fee: Season Pass Preferred $10; Preferred $15. VIP Parking is $20.

Q: Do you have rides for children?
A: Yes.  The Grand Exposition and Geyser Gulch® are two play areas designed specifically for children.  Visit our rides page to learn more about other rides available for both children and adults.

Q: Are loose articles allowed on the rides?
A: Loose articles are not permitted on most rides. (This includes: hats, purses, cell phones, cameras, bags, personal electronics, pocket change, keys, etc.) Waist or fanny packs are not permitted on The GIANT Swing, PowderKeg, Thunderation or Wildfire. We recommend you leave valuables with a non-rider or secure them in a park locker, available for rent. Unsecured storage bins are available at most rides, however, Silver Dollar City cannot take responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged articles. Articles taken on WaterWorks Waterboggan, Lost River of the Ozarks, and the American Plunge will get very wet.

Q: Do we need tickets for the shows?
A: No.  At Silver Dollar City your gate admission ticket covers all rides and shows.  All shows occur several times during the day and are available on a first-come, first-seated basis.  A listing of show descriptions and times is available at the front gate entrance.  Don't forget to stay after the park closes for our night show in the outdoor Echo Hollow® Amphitheater, weather permitting.

Q: Do you serve a breakfast?
A: Yes.  April through October, starting at 8:00 a.m., there is a buffet breakfast, served in the restaurants on the main square.   

Q: Do you ship your merchandise?
A: Yes.  If you are unable to take your package with you or would like to send something to someone back home, you can arrange for the shipping of your order in any of the shops at the time of your purchase.

Park Admissions

Q: Do I need to make reservations?
A: You may purchase your tickets at Silver Dollar City or if you would like to avoid the ticket lines, you may order them over the phone or online and we will mail them to you. If you are thinking about attending the Showboat Branson Belle, Dixie Stampede or White Water, then ask our reservationist about the package ticket. Our packages will save you money! Q: How does the Print At Home process work?
A: Follow these simple steps for printing tickets at home.

  1. Select type and quantity of tickets.
  2. Enter personal information, payment information and confirm your delivery method of choice. Then select "Purchase".
  3. When the confirmation page appears, select "Click here to view your tickets/confirmation."
  4. Print from your computer.

Q: What do I need in order to print tickets at home?
A: You must have a current version of Adobe® Acrobat Reader®, an internet connection (allow more time for dial-up connections) and a working printer that prints on regular paper with dark, clear lines in order to print tickets at home. Q: What types of tickets can I print at home?
A: You may print One-Day Tickets to Silver Dollar City, Celebration City or White Water, as well as any type of CityHopper Ticket. Season Passes and tickets to the Showboat Branson Belle cannot be printed at home.

Q: What should I do if the tickets won't print?
A: If your online confirmation screen disappears, you may also print tickets from your email confirmation. If you did not receive an email confirmation, or if your tickets still fail to print, call our Internet Customer Service department at 800-719-2399.

Q: Do I need to keep all the pages that print out?
A: You will receive a Confirmation Page, plus a separate page for each ticket. Ticket Pages include a box with the text "This is Your Ticket" at the top. You must present a Ticket Page at the front gate for each person entering the park.

Q: Can I order and print tickets for another party?
A: Yes, you can order and print tickets for another party. Letters from your name will appear on the tickets, but your friends or family will be admitted as long as they present the printed ticket at our front gate.

Q: If I lose my ticket or it becomes wet or unusable, can I get a replacement?
A: Yes, you may stop by any ticket booth and ask for a replacement at no additional cost. A regular ticket will be issued that will provide you with the same entitlements as the ticket you purchased less any visits already used.

Q: Does my ticket include the shows, Marvel Cave tour and rides?
A: Yes. You only pay for your food or merchandise items you choose to purchase.

Q: My children already have a ticket to enter the park. What age can they enter the park without an adult?
A: Children 11 years and under must be accompanied by an adult while visiting Silver Dollar City.

Q: Do you have a season pass?
A: Yes. You may come back all season long for less than the cost of two adult visits!  

Q: Can I apply my one day ticket price towards the purchase of a season pass?
A: Yes. It must be applied on the same day of visit by the ticket holder. This can be completed at the Season Pass Exchange Booth before you leave the park.

Q: I have a group from my church that would like to attend. Do you offer group rates?
A: If you have 15 or more in your group, please call 800-417-7770 ext. 2 to learn more about current group rates.

Q: Are there ride restrictions?
A: For your safety, some rides have height, size, and health restrictions. A Ride Guidebook can be picked up at the stroller booth. To receive specific information, please call 800-225-0222 and ask to speak to a member of our attractions' department.

Q: Can I bring my pet on park?
A: Only service animals are allowed on park. We ask that you do
not leave your pet unattended in your vehicle while you are visiting.

Q: What is there to do if it rains when I am visiting?
A: Don't let a little rain spoil your fun! Silver Dollar City offers plenty of indoor shows, shops and attractions to keep your family entertained. We suggest the following activities:

  • Stop in Eva & Delilah's Bakery and treat yourself to a decadent delight to start your day of fun at the park. Specialties include Eva's World-Class Turnovers and Delilah's Pecan Sticky Buns.
  • Tour Missouri's deepest cavern, Marvel Cave*, free with your admission.
  • Step inside unique shops such as Brown's Candy Factory , Hazel's Blown Glass Factory, Valley Road Woodcarvers & Baskets, Mission Metals and Hillcreek Pottery for unique treasures and craft demonstrations.
  • Watch pig races, Future Farmers of America cattle shows and award winning Border Collie herding demonstrations all in Red Gold Heritage Hall.
  • Ride through the Flooded Mine* and experience a family favorite.
  • Get ready to clap your hands and tap your toes during the National Harvest Festival as the top names in traditional, country, bluegrass and gospel music perform in various venues throughout the park.   • Stop for a ride on Fire-In-The-Hole*, Silver Dollar City's indoor roller coaster.
  • Get ready for a rollicking good time with Frontier Follies in the Silver Dollar City Saloon.
  • Headin' West returns for a second spectacular season in The Opera House, through October 19. This 45-minute lavish musical production tells the timeless tale of western expansion during the 1860s.
  • Then tour the Midtown shopping district including Aunt Molly's Quilts & Lace, Bittersweet Gallery, Carrie's Candles, Christmas Hollow, The Greatest Gift, Sullivan's Mill and Becca's Weaving.
  • Browse Heartland Home Furnishings, Mountain Outfitter's Gun & Knife Shop, and Mountain Leather Shop, on your way to the hymn sing-alongs at The Wilderness Church.
  • Treat your family to a mouthwatering dinner at indoor and covered restaurants throughout the park. Whether you have a hankering for a home-style buffet at Molly's Mill or The Lucky Silver Mine or stick-to-your-ribs vittles at Aunt Polly's Fried Chicken or The Riverside Rib House, you are sure to find something to satisfy any hunger.
  • Pick up a sweet treat for the road at Phoebe Snapp Taffy or Eva & Delilah's Bakery as you leave the park, and recount your adventures all the way home!

You may not be able to do everything on the list, but as you can see, there's a variety of indoor activities for everyone in your group. So come and enjoy Silver Dollar City, rain or shine!

*Please note: WildFire®, PowderKeg®, Thunderation and The Giant Swing do not operate in low temperatures. The Grand Exposition's 10 family rides do not operate with any form of precipitation or low temperatures. And of course, all rides as well as Marvel Cave are closed if lightning is detected in the area by our Safety Department.
